Crocheted Duduza Dolls
Materials:
Size C
crochet hook and worsted weight yarn.
Directions:
Chain 36. Single crochet in 2nd stitch from hook, and sc across.
*Chain 1, turn and sc across.*
Repeat from * - Leave 6" tail to gather for feet when completing doll.
Change color for pants. Chain 1, turn and sc across. *Chain 2,
turn dc across.*
Repeat from * for three rows.
Change color for belt. *Chain 1, turn and sc across. *Repeat
from *
Change color for shirt. *Chain 2, turn and dc across*. Repeat
from * for two more rows.
Change color for head. Chain 1, turn and sc across. *Chain 2,
turn dc across*. Repeat from * for seven rows.
Change color for cap.
Row 1: Chain 1, turn, sc across. Decrease evenly by 4 stitches.
Row 2 and all even rows, sc across.
Row 3: Decrease by 4 stitches
Row 5: Decrease by 4 stitches
Row 7: Decrease by 4 stitches
Row 9: Decrease by 4 stitches
Thread remaining stitches
onto needle and sew up cap. Sew up face. Embroider face as
desired. Run gathering thread through last row of shirt stitches and
after stuffing the head, pull up tightly for neck and finish off securely.
Sew up back of doll. Run the gathering thread through last row of
feet. Stuff body and pull up gathering thread tightly finishing off
well.
Complete feet by sewing up center seam through both thickness of crocheting,
dividing feet, which are stuffed individually. Fold foot across cast
on edge at right angles to body. Sew up.
Finish other foot off the same way.
Define legs by sewing through all thickness from feet towards belt,
finishing off 1 rows from belt. Define arms same way starting 1 row
from neck.
